The Cantamar Beach Hostel is a backpacker's resort located in the Rodadero district of Santa Marta. With a unique beachfront location, it is the perfect jumping off point to explore the caribbean coast of Colombia and nearby mountains or to simply relax for the weekend.
The property is fully equipped to cater to your every desire, whether you are here for adventure, relaxation or a little of both. We offer a wide variety of activities onsite, as well as tour bookings for adventures into the Sierra Nevada mountains or Tayrona National Park. Meanwhile, our full-service restaurant and bar assures you will be fully taken care of during the length of your stay.

Getting Here

FROM SANTA MARTA AIRPORT
The easiest way to get to The Cantamar is to take a taxi to Calle 20b #1-13 in El Rodadero. We are the closest backpacker's hostel to the Santa Marta airport, only 8 minutes by car. The taxi should cost you a flat fee of 27,000 pesos or just under $6 USD.
FROM CARTAGENA
If you are arriving from Cartagena, we reccommend you take a bus with either the Marsol or Berlinas bus lines. Ask the driver to drop you at their respective Rodadero stop. From there, it's just a quick taxi away or some people prefer to walk. If you are arriving on foot, take Calle 21 all the way to the beach.
